Peter Miller of We Are the Willows and I have a deep connection; right through to the high school pool water. We also sipped the creatively laden water of Eau Claire, WI ; watching and learning from a powerhouse of embryonic musicians, Justin Vernon, Amateur Love, Brad & Phil Cook and others. We've been apart of a mutual musical appreciation society since moving to Minneapolis a decade plus ago sharing each others orbits.

The collaboration started simply. I sent Pete a folder of orphaned keyboard samples, Pete chopped them up, recorded drums & vocals and from there we sent the songs back and forth, from basement to basement, until they were completed.

They seem at once inscrutable and limitless. Like a faded, crinkled photograph of the horsehead nebula. Familiar yet crushed & compressed into 8 bit data.

There are only two songs so far but we think we found something special. A thread that we intend to keep pulling on.
